Description
Correspondence mostly with Bishop Hickey as the recipient from Elie Vezina, Secretary General of the USJB. Vezina was Secretary General from 1911-1936. Most of the correspondence is in French and often has to with the Sentinelle Affair and support for Bishop Hickey from the USJB. Some news clippings included. Also includes some controversial quotes of David Walsh, U.S. Senator regarding the different races Bishop Hickey had in his parish and how best to deal with them. Also an affidavit regarding the possible dislike of Cardinal William Henry O'Connell of Boston towards Bishop Hickey. Dates of correspondence is approximately 1919-1929.
