Mr. Ed, Mallet.
Dear friend. While I have
the opportunity this evening I will take
my pen in hand with pleasure, and
write a few lines to you hoping they will
find you enjoying good health, as we
are at present. Mr. Mallet, I will ask a favor
of you, and that is this, could you help me
in getting a position of some kind? I
will now try to earn my own living and
hope I will succeed in getting a place at
some school, as cook, laundrous, or seemstress
and matron too; I would like any one of these
places, if I have the chance of getting it, and
I sincerely hope that I will get it, and will
be ever so much oblige to you for helping
me, and will now close with love from all the
girls, they often speak of your. Lucy sends her Love.
