Three men standing on deck of convict ship "Success". Naval man, and 2 men in bowler hats and top coats. One man is identified as Aram Pothier on the back on the photograph. Pothier was the 51st and 55th governor of Rhode Island. Inscribed on front of frame "Convict Ship 'Success'. Providence, R.I. 20/11/12 With Compliments D.H. Smith". In 1912 this ship was used as a traveling museum on the tortures of a convict ship. 8" x 6"
